You may want to save your Google Chrome passwords to a file, in order to retrieve them in another environment. So you don’t need to remember all those passwords to log into websites.
Click the customize and control Google Chrome icon on the top right
Select Settings
In the Autofill section, select Passwords
Click the More Actions icon
Select Export passwords
Confirm Export passwords
Do not share this file with others nor save it to locations where others can see it.
Save it to your HomeDrive (Y:)
In your other environment, open Google Chrome.
Copy-paste this link into the address bar of Chrome:
chrome://flags/#PasswordImport
Enable Password import > Relaunch
In the Autofill section, select Passwords
Select the More Actions Button > Import
Passwords will be imported in the background.
Restart your Chrome to see if the import has been successful. Follow these steps again to see the passwords: Customize and Control Google Chrome button > Settings > Passwords
Important: Delete the password file from your computer. It contains your personal passwords in a readable format and it should not be stored on a file server.
Open Windows explorer, navigate to your file and delete it.
